The Security Consultant – Technology contributes to the growth of the Technology Consulting practice through the delivery of high-quality projects and secure technology outcomes by providing outstanding subject matter expertise, depth of technology insights and disciplines for information networks, platforms, applications and integrated ecosystems, demonstrating professional excellence to our clients, colleagues and partners.
In this role you will be challenged to demonstrate and maintain your cyber security and technology expertise in how you collaborate with the wider Infotrust teams and your client stakeholders.
In doing this, you will also achieve significant professional development across newer security technologies, solution domains and disciplines and how these integrate to the information and technology infrastructure ecosystems and the business operating models they support.
You will also lead and / or contribute to the technical engagement with our strategic technology partners, including achievement of technical accreditations, leading and running Proof of Concept, Design and Implementation services for these.
Responsibilities
- Assist with developing and presenting scope of work for customers solutions and projects
- Assist and contribute to technical training forums
- Contributor to supplier and commercial change programs in respect of the services catalogue
- Continuous review of Offering Development learnings and update the Framework
- Maintenance and updating for Offering representation on Hub(s) and CRM
- Own and maintain the Solution Offerings Framework, process and documents for the Services Catalogue
- Collaborate with colleagues across GRC, Assurance, Engineering, Project Managers and Security Operations Centre, to deliver technical expertise and deliverables for design and implementation services
Key Competencies, Skills and Attitudes:
- 5+ years of cyber security industry experience, including practitioner roles, working in or with core technology for infrastructure, network, applications, data and identity
- Familiar and experienced with technology best practice for deploying and securing Microsoft and other infrastructure solutions
- Experience and strong knowledge of both current generation and emerging technologies for cyber and non-cyber; inclusive of identity, data security, infrastructure, cloud, SaaS and hybrid IT and applications, specifically:
- Identity Security technology solutions for IDAM, PAM, IAM, IAG
- Microsoft Cloud, Infrastructure and Applications
- Information Protection / Data Security technology solutions
- Cloud Security Architecture and Design
- Practical understanding of Information Security Standards and Frameworks, including but not restricted to ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, SOC2/SSAE-18, CPS 234, Privacy Act and applicability for technology environments
- Reasonable knowledge or experience with security testing methods, cyber security governance and risk management
- Experience working with small to large enterprise organisations
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality documentation in multiple formats
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills; excellent writing, presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrate independence, initiative and be a collaborative team player
- Meet tight deadlines and prioritise your work schedule to achieve this
- Experience with scoping, effort estimation and project sizing
- Lateral thinking and continuous improvement mindset
- Comfortable maintaining structure, consistency and predictability of project outcomes, while working in agile, fast paced environments
- Passion for achieving and maintain technical accreditations and training in Microsoft and other technology vendors
- Cyber security accreditations including but not restricted to CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CISM, CCSP desirable
- Proven track record building strong relationships with customers, key business leaders and stakeholders
